1st bottle of biondi for me—a rosso from the Southeast no less! This was just delightful, one of the more burgundian etna wines I’ve tasted. Translucent and more brown than red, this wine took several hours to open up, but when it did, wow! Bella! Intense basalt minerality ferried across the palate on a taut, light breath of rosy florals. Enjoyed over several nights, and by this final xl glass this vino was absolutely exquisite.
