Mezcla tina, or “Red Blend”
Syrah dominant, a helluva barnyard nose!
Heavier bodied, with bits of blueberry and apple skins, some sweet grass, tobacco, aged perfectly, (I got lucky), with the tannins complementing the star fruit acidity.
50% Syrah, 14% Petite Syrah, 26% Garnacha, 10% Petit Verdot.
100% Yum.

This is the first red wine I have had from this area, usually known for Pisco production.

Picked this up on a trip to Chile. Maybe another early to drink with the strong tannins but nice dark fruit flavours. Good balance and finish.
