Atlàntida Tannat

Terrific. Juicy. Dry. Five years young!

Worth your attention. The world of wine is indeed a grand embarrassment of riches.
The winemaker is an absolute gentleman as well. Bonus points.

Hard to criticize tannat. Eruptive tannic structure, petroleum, tar and roses. Reminds me so much of young nebbiolo. Abrasive and ferocious before some age settles the energy.

A bit smoky on the nose, dark fruit, prune, plum, there r some savoriness, like soy sauce, med plus tannin, kind fall flat at the end.

Inky and dark. Needs at least an hour to open up. Rich black fruit, chocolate, mocha, perhaps subtle vegetal note. Grippy but not overwhelmingly tannic. Good structure with high acid. Very good now and probably for at least a few years.

Oaky, some sharp notes. Drank with mushroom garlic fettuccini

Interesting. Major chocolate nose. Leather on the palate. Not as tannic as I would have thought. Good acidity.

The taste reminds me leather, wine not fruity or sweet, very tannic. Combines with red flesh...

This Uruguayan number was enjoyed by all. Medium bodied and great with red meat.

Light bodied. Smells like dark cherry but tastes much spicier. A bit tannic.
