Really pretty, balanced, well made. Ripe orchard fruit, some tropical notes. Pithy, almost raspy texture. Some malic notes and a butterscotch - oak finish, with medium acidity. Everything in its proper place. This will appeal to a broad cross section of palate preferences

Saint-Aubin is a terroir with very few rivals in Burgundy for great value; an AOC loaded with sleeper wines from top-drawer domaines. This is a gorgeous Chardonnay with a broad appeal. Fabulous acidity- almost electric. Fresh, juicy, succulent yellow peach and pineapple mid palate flavors that build into a lemon pith mineral finish with a hint of savory sea spray character. Ripe, fleshy nose balanced by potent floral overtones. Lovely restraint with oak, imparting a delicate custard that intensifies with air. This displays the tension of opposites that I love in classic white Burgundy; the yin-yang of weight and kinetic energy on the palate. This is the kind of wine I adore and would happily drink year-round with or without food.
