La Forest Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Lemon curd, lime, mandarin, green apple, pear, hazelnut, burnt caramel, slight oxidation, slight saline, medium plus acidity.

So young and yet wide open. This was pillowy and mineral, with clarity and vibrancy. It would’ve been complexly fine as the finale, but as it turned out, it was the palate cleanser for the 2015 Clos :)

What a nice surprise. Basically wrote Dauvissat off due to my experience with bad bottles in the states. This one was perfect. Sexy and generous. From the nose to the luxurious but balanced oak dimension to its lengthy finish. Drinking well now. Can imagine it a knock out in a few years time.

Plus foncé que le 18, plus riche, moins de tension, bon mais souffre de la comparaison. 89-90
Darker colour then the 18, less acidity, richer profile, might suffer from drinking 16 and 18 side to side.

Perhaps sth wrong with this Magnum but showing too much ripeness and not really as you would expect from a Dauvissat.
