2008, classy like all his wines. Polish red fruit and tons of acidity. Low alcohol and food friendly.

This lovely wine was a gift from @James K because he knew it was my favorite vintage.
An old world / Napa style with low alcohol and higher acidity. A little green - guessing this was picked early? Color is starting to show age with a little bricking on the edges. Similar story on the nose and palate. Just starting to show some age on its 10th Bday. Nice leather throughout. Fruit is stewed plum and dark fruit. Grippy tannins that go on for awhile to finish off. This is going great with a little salami, cheddar, and olive plate. Thanks James!

Aged definitely pays! Cherry still but mellowed with earthy notes and strong tannins still. Would likely be even better with a few more years in the bottle. Nice surprise from the library mystery case.

Oct 23rd, 2021Really aging great! Nicely balanced. Earthy and fruity but not overly cherry. Their wines need the time to age and this probably will get even better. More interesting than young versions.
