Once it shines (a bit restrained in the nose, with initial hints of wet leaves) it displays a core of delicate red fruit, strawberry and rose petals, and also raspberry and liquorice notes. Mouthfill, good acid, low on tannins, feel some low tones of green tannins, tolerable aa a way to acidity. Good value

Tastes very much like my 2022 merlot
Oct 12th, 2023Fruitforward with black fruit yet with nice freshness - blueberries, raspberries, with a warm undertone. Medium bodied yet with great concentration and good purity. Grippy tannins (a touch dry from the wood) & juicy acidity + a core of succulent ripe fruit - this is really well done
I do, however, miss the lightness of touch and incredible freshness of the more ‘simple’ Malayeto.

Dark fruit in the initial taste with a mild cherry oak, slightly dry finish that leaves you craving more in your mouth
