First glass was from a bottle that must have been opened too long. From a new bottle this Rioja showed well. Structure and earth. Paired extremely well with Brazilian music at this joint.

Zaco takes its name from one of the oldest vineyards in Bodegas Bilbainas in the Rioja Alta. Light Ruby with aromas of dark fruit and floral notes. On the palate cherry and blackberry with licorice and cacao. Nicely balanced with fine tannins on medium finish ending with a slight earthy mineral character. Good value. Tasting Sample.

Rioja at it’s best. Nice structured Tempranillo. Medium-full bodied. Intense and grave varietal comes through. Good wine to enjoy with food as well as siping.
