A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot from Maipo Alto that spent 22 months in French barrels, 80% new and 10% in casks. This was a cold year, making for the ideal ripeness. The delicate, seductive nose combines raspberry with young blackcurrant, herb and mint. Well-balanced, it presents a smooth texture and a powerful flavor juicy on the tongue with just a hint of pyrazine that underlines the smoky finish. A serious wine. Sexy Cabernet Sauvignon. Muscular but elegant at the same time. Really great wine. We’ll made and kind of perfect.

Nog een paar jaar laten liggen. Al wel zacht, maar in de afdronk nog te iets veel tannines. Fruitig.

That black fruit is accompanied with precise cherry, cedar, some pepper? It's the tannin that ties this all together though. The softness is unreal. While I tasted this just with some bread, I kept getting the feeling that beef broth or gravy would pop brightly when paired with this wine. The length here was very long and kept bright for several minutes after the last sip. Elegant and outstanding.
