Villa Diamante
Vigna della Congregazione Fiano di Avellino
The freshness and vivacity here was remarkable. Slight roundness from the lees and little to no barrrique on display. Exactly what I was looking for with our dinner overlooking the bay of Naples. Will seek out more of this stateside

Jun 27th, 2023Very consistent label
Complex, but easy drinking
It definitely gets better when closer to room temperature
From the fruit to a bunch of different flowers and unusually tingling
Very good stuff
I am always glad to open this Fiano
It will also age fairly well i reckon

In line with the other vintages
I reckon being slightly bigger will need more time to give its best
Always elegant and refined
Long and perhaps a little warmer than the 2010, but time will tell.
However to me still the best Fiano di Avellino around, no others hold this personality

The colour says it all
Pale yellow and shiny
Delicate, focused and intense
I reckon this is among the few top white wines in Italy. Benchmark scent of this wine is wisteria, i have detected it nearly in every vintage.
Last night i drank a Chassagne-Mintrachet Les Caillerets PC 2013 made by Ramonet and i am not complaining tonight eithier..it says it all

Exuberant in everything
Brilliant look
Nose of grapefruit, mandarins
Flinty, wisteria
Honts of almonds and marzipan
..and i am sure the best is yet to come.
Fascinating tension on the palate
Fresh, intense, explosive!!!

I love this wine, it goes without saying
But I understand that if you are not familiar with it you might have to keep sipping before you get into it
There are shades of violet, pink and turquoise related to fruits, flowers and minerals
Texturally fleshy, but no oak
Long, fresh and young
It really has it all

Extremely young but having tasted so many vintages of this wine I tell u the flavour The FLAVOUR!!!!!
Great freshness but also tickling with minerality
U can already tell complexity starting to build up
From camomile to violets or wisteria,
Smoked, mushroom and clay,
Orange peel;
Hazelnut and marzipan,
Ginger biscuit
Some how a bit of MoU caramel
Infinite substance ever changing.....
Thanks Antoine Gaita (I can still feel him in the wine)and family

Had it October 2015.

Had in March 2009.
After a Rousseau Clos de la Roche and a Knoll Loibenberg it didn't come by without being noticed. Golden colour. Still citrusy, graphite, walnut, sulphur, forest floor, curry, tuff. Long flavour, fresh, great drinking quality. Fantastic Italian white wine, they have hardly mistaken a vintage, but they are all different wines.❤️❤️❤️❤️
