Still tight and young. Nose reminds me of Napa Cabs from the 70s, with a weedy thing that accompanies tight cassis fruit. Graphite and gravel too. Tight in the mouth, with very good acids and lots of youthful but soft tannins. Give this at least 3-5 years. (Which is not to say it’s not very tasty now.)

Typical Cab elements, pepper, lead pencil and spice all around. Had a bottle of this about a year ago and this one is noticeably better. Will hold my other bottles and see. Visited the winery a few years ago. They offered us an excellent tasting.

Sep 22nd, 2024Very nice nose of blackberries, some other black fruits and a bit of pencil lead. The taste was smooth with complex fruit notes. Nice long finish, jeez what’s not to like. Visited the winery end of last century.
