Mâcon-Pierreclos Gamay

Macon gamay, crazy QPR at 14$; some smoky, gamey notes along with a bright cherry flood. Good stuff. Rosenthal book.

Must come to Birmingham in winter so as to get Chef Frank Stitt's coq au vin!

Very grapy. Simple. Tasty.

For $18, a great buy. Fresh, young, well balanced. Great acidity. Nothing complex. No overwhelming or particular fruit. But very nice and super easy to drink. Great weekday wine.

Mikes suggestion - 2nd label brand

Gamay. Good value.
