Pipoli Aglianico del Vulture

ripe almost reduced plum and boysenberry on the nose, with Aglianico funk- loamy earth. wet bark. medium weight, moderate acid, firm but open ended tannins. 👍

I enjoyed this. I've always been a fan of Aglianico, but from this site nearby the tannins are softer and the acidity is mellow.

Surprisingly quite delicious. Not a bitter note to be felt on the palate. Just nice fresh ripe red fruit and a beautiful smooth dry finish. Medium length. Nice body.

Too oaky for me.
