Great monster for any occasion. Barely any decanting required

I'm in Miami for a few days before Italy and loaded up for the next few days. Trying to acclimate to Puglia. This Primitivo isn't what I'm used to.

This deep purple juice slimes me with a soft, soapy, mess... In my opinion. The oak just screams at the onset, like chewing on several high end popsicle sticks. Alcohol, tannins are both low, and obviously...so is acidity. It wasnt cheap, so I'm giving a few tries. Floral nose that I link to the wood. Huge vanilla bomb. Listen... Somebody will love this wine. Not me

PS gotta drink it per wife so reaching for an ice cream pairing.

Big, bold, ripe, in your face Zinfandel. Much better on 2nd day where tertiary ripe sweet fruit gave way to quite a bit of complexity. This was not my thing but of its type it was a high quality complex wine

A big flavour bomb more spice then a Christmas mince pie, nutmeg, all spice with fruit cake extras
