Botrytized vermentino with big aromas of musk melon, bourbon-soaked apricots, a flower shop, and salty ocean breeze. A sip is syrupy without being cloying as a pineapple rum cake finish stretches on for miles and cries out for something fat and salty.

Apr 16th, 2018This wine has revealed me as a bigot. Botrytised wines are defined in my brain by the poles of Sauternes and Tokaji. I can comprehend quite a bit defined between those poles, even an odd Australian, but I can’t make this one fit. Fatty and slightly herbal, sandstone not limestone or granite. Pleasant but to my simple mind somewhat jarring.

Dec 9th, 2018I have a huge sweet tooth so dessert wines are right up my alley. This just coats your mouth with sweet honeysuckle. Thanks to my bro @Todd Abrams for this recommendation. Hope you have more of this!!
