Vignafranca
Barba Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Should change the name to "Lackluster". No complexity.

Mar 2nd, 2017Still a deep crimson color but with clear edged. Complex nose of cherry and blackberry with a slight hint balsamic and minerality. The mouth is deep blackberry and raspberry with some lingering tannins and a stoney finish. Shale maybe. Lingers on the palate for a good 45 seconds or so.

Oct 7th, 2018Balanced. That’s the word to describe this one. Not too dry. Not too fruity. Not too tannic. Not too acidic. Oak was really well-done (I don’t like oaky wines). I thought this was great for sipping, and would probably be even better with food. I’ll buy again.
