Very dark wine with light clear ring around the edge. 72% sangiovese and 28% merlot and full bodied. Notes of cherry and dried violets on the nose. Flavors of cherry, tar, and blackberries on the palate with a underlying layer of acidity that tingles the back of the throat on the finish. — 5 years ago
Still a deep crimson color but with clear edged. Complex nose of cherry and blackberry with a slight hint balsamic and minerality. The mouth is deep blackberry and raspberry with some lingering tannins and a stoney finish. Shale maybe. Lingers on the palate for a good 45 seconds or so. — 5 years ago
Light brown hue with a cherry red core. Raisened cherry and prune on the nose with a hint of minerality and plum. Mushroom note on the nose adds complexity and makes every return to the glass new. On the palate loads of bready plum and cherry with an ethereal mineral backbone that lightens this full bodied wine to go down smoother than the weight would suggest. Complex and smooth almost in the same wheelhouse as a rudy port but more complex and dry. — 5 years ago
Golden color with a nose ripe with minerality and acidity. Lemongrass, dried white fruit, and slight shale further round out the nose. Peach and tangerine lead on the palate with secondary notes of wet shale and lemon pith. Finish is quite long, lingering for over a minute with a slight acidic tingle. — 5 years ago
Great notes of pineapple and honey on the nose with a hint of earth and candied apricots. Dark golden color with thick viscosity. Lays full bodied on the palate with a slight tingling sensation on the finish. The palate is coated with honey and candied fruit with undertones of dried fruit on the finish followed by the aforementioned tingling spice. Great balance and flavor. Nose is more complex than the palate. Overall not too sweet. More of a semi sweet. — 5 years ago
Bright red color but not translucent. Nose of bright ripe cherry and some minerality as well as a underlying bit of nuttiness. On the palate the wine is medium bodied and bursting with cherry and plum notes. Then a long finish as the fruits flavors fade and are replaced by notes of wet broken shale and earth. Mineral notes all throughout. Keeps the wine light and pleasent. Blend of 60% kotsifali and 40% mandilaria from crete. Tannic minerality on finish can be a bit sanguine. — 5 years ago
The color is a rustic tan or light orange with clear edges. The nose has a almost aprocot quality to it with loads of orange rind and citric acid minus the sharpness and a distinct green grape core. The mouth feel is thicker just as a dry red would be. Tannins and all. On the palate there is notes of grape skin, peach, and a bit of cherry. Long dry finish. Leaves you thirsty for another sip. — 5 years ago
