2006 vintage. Wow. What a nose. Fresh marzipan, almonds, violets, tar, bitumen - a LOT going on here. On the palate, medium bodied, high tannins - grippy and omnipresent but not overbearing. Great acidity. Cherry, kirsch and tarry on the mid- palate. Nice, long finish. Much better than expectation. A top '06.
