Visciole Querci Antica Lacrima
Lacrima grape but, as I understand it, with cherry (or some cherry-derived liquid) infused. Nose is so intense. Such crazy density of fruit. Great acids. The palate is so pure and intense. Complexity, not really. But the purity and intensity is remarkable. Thanks Angy!

Jan 1st, 2024Very interesting dessert wine from La Marche. Blend of Lacrima (70%) and Sciroppo di Visciole (30%) red wine blended with local sour cherry juice. Not syrupy sweet. Lots of sour cherry fruit flavor. Lower alcohol than typical dessert wines. Made a great addition to a Champagne cocktail. Bet it would be a nice compliment with some chocolate.

Oct 3rd, 2020Lacrima di Moro d’alba is unique to le Marche. Wildflowers, perfume, and cardamom on the nose. An underlying sweet candy quality to it. Finish a little tannic. Very different grape/ wine. Worth a try if u see one ( most people won’t).
