2018 vintage. This is soooo good. First time with the variety. Candied violet and rose petal big time, with fresh cherry, pomegranate, red plum, incense, stemmy spice and tarragon, black rocks. Light- to medium-bodied and very gulpable with a light chill. — 6 months ago
This wine is tinted medium dark and it smells of bright, ripe cherries. There is not a big influence of oak, probably due to stainless steel fermentation and aging in a large barrel. The palate is nice and fresh, with fruit in the forefront and a gentle acidity. The tannins are easy-going enough for gulping, but the wine does pair well with lamb from my favorite Indian restaurant.

Very interesting dessert wine from La Marche. Blend of Lacrima (70%) and Sciroppo di Visciole (30%) red wine blended with local sour cherry juice. Not syrupy sweet. Lots of sour cherry fruit flavor. Lower alcohol than typical dessert wines. Made a great addition to a Champagne cocktail. Bet it would be a nice compliment with some chocolate. — 10 months ago
