I should have expected this: the 2013 vintage is great, but not drinking as well as the 2012, 2010, or 2008 vintages. And I love bright wines... this one’s pH is 3.11 according to Galloni. Needs a few more years for the acid to harmonize with the relatively heavy new oak flavors.

Big bold wine, lots of sulfitic character, some dairy/malo flavours, full bodied, slight hint of spice and medium acidity keeping it all in check
