Nose: strawberry, cigar smoke & baking spices. Palate: red cherry, spice (black & white pepper), chocolate, orange rind, moderate tannins for a lighter wine. Spicy, soft, pleasant, interesting.

My first love, this Willamette Valley Pinot not only put me on a path to desire more from my glass but also kicked off a year's-long obsession with Pacific Northwest.

Wow!!!! VanDuzer pinot noir 2013 from Willamette Valley Oregon. Those amazing soils in Oregon do it again! I love this pinot noir. The color is light and the legs are thick and quick to run. The tannins are a bit strong for a pinot noir until decanted for 30 minutes. The bouquet is strawberry jam! The initial palate is cherries and spice. The finish is strawberry and cherry again with a twist of lime. Try it and see if you don't agree. For 23.00 US dollars it is absolutely incredible! I usually have to spend at least 30 for a pinot noir of this caliber!
cheers!

For an Estate Pinot, this wine is incredible. Not overstated at all. Silky smooth with hints of ash and dark berries. This is the "entry" level Van Duzer Pinot and it stands above most others I've tried in recent memory. And this one is SO young! Highly (highly) recommend.

I have been to the vineyard and like it. The wine is good and I recommend going to the Vineyard if you are in the area. I bought it again at total wine.
