A step up in terms of prestige for my far-far away country, an original idea (the solera) and much needed vindication for an old winery on the way to irrelevance otherwise. The wine? For me, not my cup of poison. I think I'm going to star using the word phallic for this kind of wine ferraris. Much like a trophy wife or a sexy vintage car. Something to brag about more than a simple drink. Hints of ego and notes of arrogance. But, hey! Wine is impeccable, this is just my embittered view. #chile #vallecentral #solera #bordeauxblend
