Inocente Macharnudo Vineyard Fino Palomino Fino
A trip down memory lane! This used to be my go-to as a frugal engineering student in Melbourne. It delivered such great bang for the buck, and it still does. Where else can you find an old-school, long-aged wine from a single vineyard for around $20-30? This was briny, yeasty, toasty, nutty, and herbal, with a distinctly salty curry-leaf finish that just keeps growing even after the wine's gone down the throat. Wow! Definitely one of the best QPR in the market in my opinion.

Aug 11th, 2018Man, you can certainly tell the pedigree of this house just on the nose here. Though I’m typically not a big fan of sherry, this fino smells delicious. Nutty, ethereal, and like unbaked cinnamon apples (for those who have made homemade apple pie, picture the smell once you’ve sliced the apples and rolled them in the cinnamon and sugar - this is exactly the nose here.) The palate is bone dry with more nuttiness and stony minerality. Cool wine.. wish I enjoyed fino Sherry more...

When @Talia Baiocchi of @PUNCH kicked off our Sherry tasting together with this, we knew we were in for a treat. It's on the top of the Fino food chain but still approachable enough for beginners still familiarizing themselves with Sherry.
