It is alive! And growing! But carries the wisdom of at least 50 years so like, if baby Yoda was wine...what I’m saying is this wine has youth and verve and also wisdom and it is a sage. Not that the wine or winery has age but this wine feels like it. This is the perfect balance of weight and weightless. And dried fruit and fresh and dark and light. Oh my. It inspires love in my heart n soul.

Primitivo clone! With just a smidge of petite Sirah and barbera. In a blind tasting I don’t know what I’d call—it’s all macerated blackberries and strawberries and green branches. Tannins smooth and perfect. Metaphor time? This wine is a “pizza” on some other bread sort. There is something there that makes you identify if and it rocks your tastebud but...It could be another thing. Dang clones.

Monthly guys group wine meet-up. No theme tonight aside from “it better be good”.

Incredibly funky and herbal on the nose. Blew off after 30mins. Showed more dirty blackberries. Palate was extremely tannic. Date covered bay leafs. Charcoal. Rhubarb tart on the finish.

2010 Unti is hitting on all cylinders. I made a good call matching this with peppered prime ribeye. The Mourvèdre and Barbera definitely come into play and add complexity and rusticity.

great acidity for a zin, dark fruit, licorice, great tannin structure, although slightly green

The wine you want St Peter to welcome you to heaven's bbq with. Bramble, pie spice, oaky. #untivineyards #zinfandel #drycreekvalley

One of my favorite wineries in Sonoma County. Using a primitivo clone, Unti delivers with great earthy notes. The finish and anti-jammy character make this wine stand out.
