How fitting that my wine - number 500 - is this beauty from Unico Zelo and with my travellers love for Sicily. It's rich dark fruit, blueberries and olives but soft medium tannin weight with velvet smoothness.

Ripe black currants with something earthy I can’t distinguish on the nose. light to medium tannin, velvet mouth feel, very juicy with strong blueberry, strawberry and rhubarb flavours. Enjoyable and easy drinking.

Dark red purple with hints of brown. Fresh lavender and crushed grapes. Strong but balanced on the palate. Oak, crushed red pepper, thyme, and lavender again. Finsihes on smoke and mild tannins. Really nice and the alcohol is not overpowering. It would be interesting to see how it ages.
