Tasted blind, we thought it was Puligny - and yet it came from right here in California. Could Santa Barbara be our greatest home for Chardonnay? Chalky and tactile, it tastes of yellow apple skin, cereal grains and sweat without ever losing sight of its salty oceanic edge.

Really nice. Great balance. Apple sauce, citrus, minerality and great acid. Like the 12.7 abv also. Really restrained, but full of character at the same time.

Dusty cherries and pronounced cedar but integrated on the palate -- sandlewood and more red cherry fruit and some toasty notes. Lumberjack wine.

A little banana on the nose - otherwise pretty muted. The banana continues on the palate with vibrant acid. Seems like it might be a little more on the stainless steel/low oak side.
