Some Days are Stones Syrah

Bright red fruit - cranberry - on the nose, followed by white pepper and red plum notes. On the pallet, rich strawberry, cranberry and faint rhubarb notes make for excellent spicy food pairing (we had it with chipotle flavored sausage, yum!). This is just starting to mature, and could easily go another 5-7 years.

Ah, the Rocks at Milton-Freewater produce such remarkable and distinctive fruit. Morgan Lee’s take on the Stoney Vine Syrah is outstanding. Earthy, gamey, succulent, dark and full stone fruit (plum) that just keeps going. This is good for another 5 years I think.

Blackberry, dark cherry, minerals, hints of umami.

Very interesting with multiple layers of flavor. Savory and funky, with great depth of fruits, Aged meats, berries, a streak of iron and beautiful lifted finish.

Nice tannic edge, bright fruit, excellent minerality, so typical of The Rocks. Yummy!

Classic Rocks! Bacon fat, game and black fruit. Killer balance. The most approachable 2012 I've had from the region, yet the this wine will age well.

A little minerality, tart fruit, a hint of sour. Oaky nose.

One of the best values for funky rocks syrah

Gambled on this but it is drinking perfectly. The 2013 is my favorite year, but this is a close second.
