California Zinfandel

Watermelon jolly rancher color. Crushed red fruit, slight menthol and pepper, sweet berry finish with a bit of heat.

Hawiian punch color. Crushed raspberry, blackberry, slight white pepper, dry and a bit tannic finish. Sweet acidity. Like it because it’s different.

Not a fruit heavy Rosé’
K&L notes,

Something we've never had before at K&L, but I managed to squeeze a few cases out of them, is Turley's Zin rose! A crisp dry wine with mouth watering acidity, very limited supply. (Ryan Woodhouse - K&L Domestic Wine Buyer) Winery Notes: "We select a few of our Zinfandel vines to pick early (at 19 brix) to make this vivid, dry rosé. Pale rose petals and fraise du bois with a touch of petrichor on the nose. The palate is high in acid, low in alcohol (11.6%), well-structured and thoroughly refreshing. Fermented in stainless steel, then aged only in used French barriques. Though akin to Provençal rosés in the way it’s made, this wine is distinctly Californian. White Zinfandel has a good heart but a bad reputation; hopefully we can help change that."

Great rose. Red fruit nose and not sweet.

Gets better with time.

11.9 % ABV Rose of Zinfandel, California. Nondescript on opening, after 10 minutes showed nice watermelon note. Crisp, almost neon pink color!
