Lentine in the background, Rivard and co in the shadows. Superb wine, eclipsed by the Petrus (more than one).
Still a baby, but showing well. Tannins are somewhat integrated, but still prominent. Tightly wound and showing overripe black fruit, rich fruit cake and baking spices.
Finishes long and linear. Maybe needs more time in the bottle, but superb at this point.

Who thinks of Rhône when speaking of Italian wine makers. Hmmm. No too many i assume. If you love Rhône the way i do, you need this in your collection. @tuaritawines Kill it with this masterpiece. A skunk seems to have hibernated in the bottle. Charcuterie and macerated cherry evolve to this silky mouthfeel. It doesn’t stop there with this 20-30 second finish. This ‘07 is in prime form and delivered on all notes. More please

Oh boy. If you are a Rhône/Syrah fan, this is baller juice. Massive nose, well extracted blackberry and burnt strawberry on the pallet. Luscious mouth feel and delivered long chewy finish. Still enough acidity to go on for another decade.

First time I've had Italian Syrah. Did not disappoint. Not only can this one hold its own with its Tuscan cousins (sangio and Bordeaux blends) it would be fun to drink next to its Rhone brethren. A series price performer too. Wow.
