At the Downs Club Super Tuscan dinner last Friday. 2016 seems to have been a good vintage everywhere in Italy. This is a Cabernet predominant blend with Merlot and a little Sangiovese. No detailed notes. Fine powdery persistent tannins. Medium bodied.

More than three years since I last tasted this wine, this vintage. It is really good right now. Fruit and earthy tones coming in. There is a licorice and vanilla backbone. Great structure with prominent yet integrated tannins. Very nice finish.

Jan 24th, 2020My Lord. Multi-layered nose and palette. Like a blackberry pastry covered in chocolate on the nose. It feels like the most elegant new world style cab in the mouth...with tannins that are wrapped in silk. This is just incredible wine. Even at this young age. Bravo.
