A solid 90. This is an excellent example of Atlantic Coast sparkling wine. In truth, and to the chagrin of those who wish nothing but failure upon the name of the producer for whichever reason seems appropriate for the week- this is great stuff. The nose is bright and alive with white fruits, while the attack on the palate is as refreshinf as it gets from the region. The mid-palate and finish are its strongest suits, and show well through, and throughout. Color me impressed.

This sparkling wine from Central Virginia near Jefferson's Monticello is a rich, creamy expression of 100% first-press chardonnay from Trump Winery's best grapes. It's weighty and textured in the mouth, with flavors of yeast rolls and tree fruits and a citrusy, moderately acidic finish. A great value at $24. (sample)

Let’s leave the politics out of this. Very solid Sparkler. Great vintage made with excellent Chardonnay grapes. Green apple, pear, with a bit of lemon. A hint of sourdough bread. Creamy texture and very effervescent.
