le silex et l'acier Sauvignon Blanc

Called mediocre nz sb blind. Should have known this was this from the weird hole in the palate.

Decent old world sb effort. 12.2% alc. typical sb flavors with a hjnt of vitamins that wasn't completely pleasant.

Medium straw color, aromas of tangerines, black currant, granite. Strong mineral flavors open to a smooth orange finish.

Not so much grassy as it is reminiscent of a densely packed cloverdale patch. Steely, tasting a bit of chalk, with canned tangerine and underripe lime.

Solid Sauvignon Blanc from Trout Gulch. Enjoyable, but not quite as bright as I like it.
