Clos Ste. Hune Alsace Riesling

Ripe, mature, drinking nice now, not as tight as other vintages

Loaded with citrus and resin - 2004

Wow! Again, all these wines were singing. This was in a beautiful spot. A little R.S. and a ton of elegance. Minerals, and a slight lingering acidity.

the petrol is nicely balanced by jasmine like floral notes ~ wide array of fruits shown in a hard candy like way

I had so looked forward to a nervy clean dry riesling and am so disappointed that this bottle was advanced and not very pleasurable. Not sherried, just advanced, tropical and a bit of botrytis, not pleasing or enjoyable—not what CSH should be. Damn.

This is a great wine. Smooth with a floral aroma stretches across the table. Best off ice.

Gold color. Tropical fruit, nut, and a little petrol on the nose. Rich texture on palate with tropical fruits and maybe almond. Less acidity than expected for a Riesling and, while fairly balanced, the acidity could be a little higher I think. Long lingering finish of tropical fruits and nut.

I do t drink a lot of aged Reisling but maybe I should. Bark straw color but plenty of oomph. Loved the balance and yellow citrus.
