Oh yeah! Raspberries, cherries, kiwi fruit and herbs on the nose. On the palate it’s Luxardo cherries and tart raspberries. Tongue smacking acid and medium tannins. Delicious!

An impenetrable wall of tannin took over after an hour or so, but this was drinking nicely on the pop an pour. I guess you can give these time, but not sure this fruit can hang with the tannin long term.

The unnecessarily but satisfyingly quirky bottle shape is a distinctive feature of the wines of Gattinara. From northern Piemonte, this is great value, high-quality, old-fashioned Nebbiolo. Delectable say it costs $74; it doesn't, it's around $30.
