Our only Amarone in the cellar! Was a gift from TDYers in Rome whom Vicki took under her wing. Surprisingly this was best right after opening- bright cherry, sharp acidity, soft tannin. After decanting and drinking over an hour or two, and the next two days, it expressed more burnt cherry and leather commensurate with its age. Paired well with a ham the parents sent for my birthday!

Luxurious and velvety. Magnificent medium bodied red, little bit port-ish, syrupy, great fruit presence, soft yet firm tannin structure. Could drink forever. One of the best wines I've ever had. Gorgeous!!
