Full bodied, big tannins presents black friut, leather, iron, violets and chocolate. One hour decant...WS gave this a 93... Never sure about
Italian wines.

Big and powerful, with a backbone of acidity. Not quite as fruit forward as California but more so than Bordeaux...a tweener.

2014 vintage, imbibed Aug/2019. Needed decanting ... very closed at first, practically no nose at all. Began to open up after a half hour to 45 minutes. Eventually - good fruit, big body, but tannins well controlled. I had my doubts at first, but ended up really enjoying with a hearty beef dinner.
