For $13 this @altoadigewines #PinotGrigio #wine, this is a great value. Pale yellow color, brisk, lively acidity with deceiving structure. Some CO2 present. Briny green apples and melon. Aromas of focused apple core and wet grass.

Mood wine. If you're in the mood for it, there's nothing better. And of all the pinot grigios I've tried, the Sudtirol region definitely produces the best. We're talking about a light and airy, dry wine with a hint of sweetness to balance the bitter. It's not just a novice's entry level white, it's also the connoisseur's rest and relaxation go-to.

A true contender for #PatioPounder2015 very pretty, floral white peach aromas. Off-dry finish. Bring the heat.

Red apple, lemon zest, and wet stone on the nose. Juicy with lively acidity. Hugely drinkable. Better than your average Italian pinot grigio. Drink now through 2018. (Half bottle)

In 1910 Johann Tiefenbrunner established a historical hydroelectric power plant that was responsible for providing all of the energy for the estate. In 2000 a new station was built although the the original is still standing and working!
