"2011 vintage sucks" blah blah blah. I love finding good wine from off vintages. This Pinot was super light and paired so nicely with pizza. See through purple in the glass. Bing cherries and plum on the nose. Similar notes on the palate with cola and a crisp finish. RRV pinots are always so consistent.

Doesn't Rivers-Marie also have a Pinot that is called Silver Eagle? 🤔

This was actually really nice, and drinking beautifully.

Took a good hour to open up, displayed medium garnet color, subdued on the nose then showed black cherries, cola and clove with a slight hint of menthol and eucalyptus. Good acidity. Needs a little more time in the bottle for me.

A bit dryer and thinner (tannins) than the usual three sticks Pinot. I liked it, but the Russian river is not my favorite
