Intense nose of cracked wet limestone, citrus, and gooseberry. Densely- flavored too, with intense minerality. It has a denser, more viscous texture than most Sancerre, but not too much so. Surprisingly full but long and zesty. A Sancerre that clearly has spent some time at the gym.

1 person found it helpfulApr 21st, 2019There's a lot material here for a wine that is so light and airy. Magical balance of ripe tropical fruit, spicy-peppery pyrazines, bright acid cut and creamy roundness. Simultaneously classic Sancerre and utterly it's own animal. I would drink this all day.

Feb 24th, 2017Staycation 2018 @CAA ; Josie is upstairs FREAKING OUT and we enjoyed ridiculously good mussels in a lobster curry broth, caesar salad, pork + halibut. Solid night for romance, per Danny. As for the wine, not as dry as AUS SBs, though light fruit with a quick finish. Easy to drink and would have again. Now to finish so we can eat affogato and return to Josie before she dies of a heart attack (that old dog does *not* like change)

Aug 11th, 2018Excellent Sancerre. Citrus and stone fruit nose. White stone fruit, Meyer lemon, white flowers, very unripe papaya, orange and lemon zest, vanilla - followed by a touch of candied orange rind and then ripe melon on the finish. Chalky texture. Medium+ acidity. Everything in perfect harmony.

Aug 29th, 2017Absolutely solid, luscious Sancerre. No surprises, but sometimes that's exactly what you want. Masterfully created.
