Single Vineyard Series Nelson Family Vineyard Pinot Noir

13’ Thomas Fogarty Nelson Family Vineyard. 5 barrels produced. Elevation 1700 feet.
Compared to my previous notes from a few years ago… I feel completely different about this one.
This is a very unique expression of mountain fruit. Medium -bodied. Much darker version of Pinot Noir. Dark red “bruised” fruit emerges over time.. Cranberries, plum skins, leather, cedar, stone-like minerality!?! Primarily mid- palate wine. Bit of a creamy finish. Different... good way. Drinking now.

13' This was my second favorite Pinot of the tasting. The most approachable Pinot they poured for me. This would win over a crowd of people. -at Thomas Fogarty Winery

Fresh off the line.

Aging nicely at 7+ years old. Darker in color than most Pinot. Full fragrance, somewhat herbal. Wonderful! March 2020.

A very good Santa Cruz with hints of spicy. May 2018.

T-Fogs provides the goods. Nice acidity and red fruit. Classic Burgundian style Pinot, Santa Cruz mountain style.

Delicious Pinot noir. Another great Burgundian wine by Thomas Fogarty. A real treat!
