This is super open after a brutal closed period. Had it in March blind from Thierry's cellar and was glorious. My 2nd to last bottle. Nose of sweet cherry fruit, very red, nice intense minerality and some wet earth. Rustic and high toned. Some mint and fine tobacco. Glorious. Palate is balanced, lipsmacking and ripe. Nice acids. Nice texture and balance. Needs 40 minutes still to round out. Big Irancy tannins but excellent ripeness.

Was time for a revisit. Nose is very promising with leafy earth tones, dried flowers, spice, menthol and mint and distinct aged aromas finally coming through. Really nice aromas. Wow, amazing what time does. Elegant and juicy with delicious red fruits and terrific fine powder like tannins. What balance and poise. This has transformed remarkably. It is the wine I remember now tasting it years ago in Thierry's cellar back in 2012.

Oct 18th, 2016Lovely red cherry fruit. Some herbal weedy thing. Disjointed but there's nice acidity and sweet fruit but it's all there. It's needs time to be knit tougher.

A little too wild for me, but a well made wine none the less. Completely backwards this has notes of tar, flowers, sappy red fruits, intense minerality that reminds me of crushed limestone. Definitely unique, Rockheads will love this one.

Out of magnum. That is so damn delicious. Lip schmacking, bright color, great balance. Drink more late release Irancy.

Does not fail to deliver. Love this wine. Just a killer killer nose! I can smell this all day long the red fruit, mineral its and elegance is superb.

2008 veaupessiot. Great almost gamey nose. Ripe fruit with good acidity. Nice grip. I think this is at its peak. If ya got em drink em.
