2016 Vintage. Happy Birthday to me! What @Stanley Barrios said for notes! Amazing wine. Loved it.

2016 The Third Twin - Nuestra Señora Del Tercer Gemelo Mourvedre. Not the Graciano. A beast of a wine. Tons of complexity with an exaggerated amount of life yet remains silky and seamless. Layer upon layer of flavors and aromas evolving with more air. Exciting to see where this will go in the next 7-15 years. Love this. Will definitely get better with time but hard to understand how.

Young and will merit a higher rating down the road. However, delicious now.

Cassis and plum, wet soil, iron. Full throttle, intense wine but was pleasantly surprised by the balance and that 15.8% ABV was well hidden 🤩

2016. A simply excellent GSM but mouvedre dominant. I originally thought cab but noticed the bottle shape and guessed a GSM, southern rhône. Turns out it’s Santa Barbara and an SQN offshoot. Perhaps my favorite of the Big Island trip.

One more try,
Tried to post this last week🙄
After
@Stanley Barrios gave this a 10 I couldn’t resist any longer. Nice to see this only took hours to post instead of days.
