Today this is one of the wines I picked at my store of choice. I felt like a California Cabernet and this wine from the 75 wine company kind of jumped out at me. Only costing $18.99 I couldn't resist. On the nose I get black currant, blackberry, hints of French vanilla and violets. On the palate it comes across on the front end with good dark fruit but falls off quickly at mid palate and then nothing on the back end. There is lots of bell pepper again up front with black cherry with a little sweetness and a mild smoky oak. There is medium acidity and medium tannin. This is an easy drinking wine even at this young age. Very drinkable now.

Bright ruby red. Bramble berries on the nose with a little bit of black fruit and an odd not that is almost like Chilean guava. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Dark berries and woody notes. Slightly plush mid palate. Long bodied and slightly thins out. Solid drinkable cabernet. Drink till 2019.

Fun label, possible substitute for my quest for birth year wine.

This is nicely restrained in terms of weight and ripeness, but I do not find its vegetal character appealing. 75% from their Lake County vineyard with the remainder from their George III vineyard in Rutherford

surprisingly aged well for a 20ish dollar wine..
light acids, but dark fruits were smooth..
