Saldo California Zinfandel
Monster wine. Fruit, a bit of pepper, nice structure. Paired quite nicely with steak and potatoes

Extremely fruity on the nose, with blackberries, figs, sweet cherries, prunes, oak, cola, light vanilla, spices, graphite, smoke, light bacon and black pepper.
Full bodied, bold and jammy, with medium acidity and long, beautiful legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate, with black cherries, blackberries, black currants, strawberries, figs, leather, some green vegetables, licorice, oak, anice, vanilla, spices and peppercorn.
Long finish, with almost no tannins, and tart cranberries.
A nice Californian Zinfandel.
Big and bold, and nicely balanced, but too extreme for me. Enjoyable by itself or with food. A little hot at the back of the throat.
I'm a little disappointed with the 2013 vintage. The 2012 was better, nonetheless, a good bottle of wine.
I Paired it with a plate of hard cheeses and nuts.
15.9% ( yeah, I know...) Alcohol by volume.

Rich. Lush. Almost dessert like. It's smokey and has a #hickory aroma. That being said, it's well balanced and the ripeness is amazing. A day later and it would be too ripe and the fenolics are fantastic.
