I don’t watch The Walking Dead but it’s Friday and I feel like the walking dead!! This was a full bodied wine with a nice smooth finish. Tastes of dark cherry, slightly tannic and earthy at first. Once it opened up it was delicious! We paired it with a yummy charcuterie board.

The Last Wine Co brings The Walking Dead Cab Sauv and a companion Blood Red Blend wine to market, featuring labels that respond to the Living Wine Label App, an augmented reality experience that bring the labels to life. The Cab Sauv features a horde of Walkers. Dark Ruby with heavy spice nose masking fruit. On the palate blackberry fruit peaks through the strong pepper & oak flavors. Tannins are rustic & strong, doubtful they will soften this wine. Finish was off balance. Pass. Only bought wine to use App!

I liked it when I first tried it... then had a nice bottle of wine first one night then came back to this and it was decidedly meh.
But what do you expect for BOGO wine? Good enough to finish tonight but won’t be buying again; sorry Robert Kirkman, love your writing:). Edit- the “living wine”AR app and the animated Adlard zombie in the wine were pretty cool. And adlard’s label art is nice. Charlie gets the rating up 0.5 :)

Drank as my first wine off Whole30. With no food. Started off dark and dry. As it opened, more berry forward. The finish has a little Sweettart candy dust to it. Ended up eating with buffalo chicken wings and was still tolerable. Less complex and dry than my favorites. Easy to drink.

Manimal was an American action–adventure series in 1983. The show centered on the character Dr. Jonathan Chase, a shape-shifting man who can turn himself into any animal he chooses. He uses this ability to help the police solve crimes. Until drinking this wine, I thought watching Manimal was what sucked most in my life.
