A lovely Californian CS, with an expressive rich nose, the wine is full of figs, chocolate, prune, black currents and licorice, full body with mild tannins and great acidity. Surprisingly ready to drink balanced and smooth. My score 87, drink to 2020 perhaps longer

Bold and intense. Ruby red. Complex with multiple berries. Good with filet. Had it at Bonahan in San Antonio. Just great.

Dark and red berries over tannins that are well structured and smooth. A sturdy backbone of spice carries theough to the finish.

A smooth drinking Napa cab with a juicy black fruit core and sweet undertone. A bit tight.
I was curious to find out how Hess can make a single vineyard Napa bottling at such an attractive price. The fruits came from their estate vineyard at Pope valley, which definitely is not in the valley by looking at the map but somehow was qualified. The land is much cheaper there. And since Pope Valley is not a sub AVA, it’s labeled Napa Valley. Probably make marketing sense anyway.

Dark cherries, maybe plum? Sweet finish. Easy to drink. Costco
