Abundant (highly elevated) acidity on the short mineral driven peppery finish. Medium body and chewy tannins. Wondering if the smoky quality is from the Meunier or smoke taint? Nonetheless, quite an interesting wine. Nearing the end of its optimum drinking window.

Smoke-tainted 2020 vintage - rich wood aroma reminiscent of Napa cab, a hint of smoke though not unpleasant. After a while the smoke hits the back of the throat with a hot scratchiness. A shame for the grapes but an interesting experience.
