Yes I jumped the gun a little but it was calling out to me this evening. An hour of air helped considerably. Tannins a bit more rustic and pronounced than perhaps a PN might be. Cherries, roses, a bit of cola, spice and faint hint of vanilla. Leaving the rest for a few more years.

This wine is so cool! Took a break from my Cali Cab education tonight. For starters I didn't even know anyone was making Pinot Meunier outside of Champagne, much less as a single varietal. But then I found out it is technically a clone of Pinot Noir. It is somehow light and very ripe and full at the same time. The acidity is delightfully high, there is this backnote of cola that goes so beautifully with the cherry/red currant nature of this. Love it. @Paul Treadway Huntington Beacher I think you sent this my way. Thank you!

'Twas perfect with grilled salmon! The fruit and acid were still singing.

From another planet. Changes its cadence on the fly. With a Mt Hunger farm lunch.

This was very good. Reminded me of some older Beaujolais I've had.

Still plenty of life left. Dried fruit character of red cherry, cranberry, red currant. Silky tannins, elevated acidity with notes of rosemary, sous bois, and crushed rock and an everlasting finish.
