Medium color saturation. Nose has very pure, perfectly ripe plummy berry fruit, sweet baking spice, a little dry gravel. Very friendly on first entry. Loads of fruit, but then it dissipates and the flavors get very stony. Nice balance. Not super complex but a very food-flexible style. Good value.

Mar 9th, 2021I got the XVIII (18 not 17). Nice! Drank by the glass at a restaurant, I was told it is little known grapes from California, I was expecting a kind of sin massale but I was surprised! Lightly colored, with good floral perfume and bright red food, good acidity and some earthiness that takes it away from pinot land, without any funk

Jun 8th, 2020This was a great start to the night. A bit of acid, white pepper on the nose. Generally crisp, bright, spice, acid, smoke and some hints of leather on the palate. A really smooth and light mouthfeel.

Love drinking Pleiades. This version is not different. Lots of body and fruit but not tannic or overpowering.
